On this typewriter, McLaverty corresponded with many of the great Irish writers of the 20th century, including Mary Lavin, Peadar O’Donnell, Daniel Corkery, Seán O’Faoláin, John McGahern, Padraic Fiacc, Daniel Corkery, Brian Friel, and Seamus Heaney.
